Your Role: As a CAD Designer, you will utilize your expertise to transform initial rough product designs into working engineering documents under moderate supervision. Responsibilities: Preparing preliminary and final maps, BIM models, plans, exhibits and digital data files using appropriate CAD drafting program Arranging engineering drawings and designs to ensure adherence of established state, city, and county specifications and standards Assisting in creating base design drawings from agreed work scope. Supports other team members as needed Troubleshooting and resolving 3D software application issues and implement a solution so that project timelines are met Required Qualifications: Associate degree or Trade School Certification 3-5 years' experience in civil design with knowledge of Civil3D, AutoCAD, Navisworks and Revit In Depth knowledge of the noted software programs and system requirements for those software packages Ability to multitask and work well in a team environment Why Psomas: Our culture is built on the foundation of social sustainability practices. Job Description The Draftsman will be responsible for providing detailed drawings for use in the shop fabrication of steel. This position will report to the Engineering Department Manager. Efficiently produce detailed fabrication drawings from layout drawings (provided by others). Prepare bills of material and assist with the material purchasing process as needed. Assist with inventory control including supplies, parts, and products. Interact with shop personnel in regards to questions and drawing interpretation. Assist with other areas of drafting such as conveyors, chutes, etc. Nest plate and angles for our CNC machinery. Check drawings as needed. Qualifications Experience and or knowledge detailing industrial type structural steel, chutes, hoppers, misc. steel and plate work 2-year experience with AutoCAD 2010 or newer Experience in Autocad Advance steel and ProNest cnc plate nesting software is a plus. Ability to read design drawings Familiarity with structural steel, stairs and railings, and general fabrication principles Possess an eagerness to develop AutoCAD and additional drafting skills Strong organization, time management, accuracy and detail orientation skills Additional Information The Draftsman position is Full Time.
