We stand ready to be your trusted partner and provide innovative solutions to your requirements.     Job Description   The EPA Supervisor is a working leadership position and reports to the Director of Operations. The EPA Supervisor is responsible for the department’s quality, production output and employee communications. The EPA Supervisor is responsible for productivity improvements, reduction of internal and customer reported deficiencies, department inventory control, workstation organization, continuous improvements, work instructions, employee training and department communication. The EPA Supervisor consults with Electrical Engineering on all technical matters.   Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Confers with Director of Operations and Production Planning Manager and utilizes ERP/MRP system to determine production priorities.
  • Responsible for assigning and supervising resources for wire prep, panel assembly and panel testing and label engraving workstations to maintain required throughput and satisfy production planning demands.
  • Responsible for optimizing workstations and work-flow processes to maximize department efficiency and output.
  • Responsible for overseeing all EPA production ERP/MRP transactions are processed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Ensures products are manufactured and assembled in compliance with product drawings, BOMs, approved workmanship standards and work instructions.
  • Demonstrates and trains subordinates in the safe use of tools, equipment and work aids used in performing production tasks.
  • Serves as "Technology Bridge" between production personnel, design engineering and manufacturing engineering on technical matters and introduction of new technologies.
  Collaborates with assigned resources and management involving:
  1. Productivity improvements
  2. Resolving, correcting and reducing internal customer and post shipment product deficiencies
  3. Workstation inventory control
  4. Workplace organization (5S)
  5. Continuous Improvement program
  6. Maintains Electrical Work Instructions and BOMS: creates and modifies work instructions; creates wire and cable charts; redlines BOM's for feedback
  7. Workmanship Standards
  8. Employee training
  9. Communication boards
  Supervisory Responsibilities:   Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning and directing work in a shop order based ERP/MRP environment.    Essential Supervisory Skills Include:

Job Requirements:

Attendance, punctuality, flexibility, cooperation, communication, integrity, and other general qualities of character are essential functions of this position.   Education/Experience:   Two year electrical technology certificate program; or three to five years related experience and/or training and five years electrical panel assembly supervisory experience. Industrial HVAC equipment assembly, testing and troubleshooting experience preferred. Able to read and understand 3D CAD models, mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.   Knowledge, Skills, Equipment and Other Abilities:   Microsoft Office, MRP Systems, AutoCAD, SolidWorks and working knowledge with hand, pneumatic tools, automated cable/wire cutters, strippers, wraptor machine, crimpers, engraving machine, soldering equipment and wire termination equipment. Varied experience in electrical panel assembly, testing and troubleshooting.   Certificates/Licenses   Maintain Valid Driver's License   IPC 620 Certification   J-Std-001 Certification     Additional Information   E.O.E
