Job Description

AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Senior Water Resources Engineer to join our Water group in the Philadelphia, PA office. 

As a Senior Water Resources Engineer, you will act as a technical lead of water resources projects related to but not limited to any of the following: green stormwater infrastructure projects, municipal water resources projects; or analysis and design of stormwater or roadway drainage systems.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Preparing and reviewing working drawings, plans, cost estimates, studies, reports, and other work products
• Analysis and design of stormwater drainage system, hydraulic structures, and roadway drainage systems
• Must be capable of performing independent tasks, reviewing technical work of others
• Develop H&H modeling, permit applications and planning level engineering studies
• Mentoring, leading, and training junior level staff
• Present design solutions to AECOM project teams and clients
• Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical and computation skills
• Knowledge of civil engineering design principle

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• BA/BS and 6+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
• Professional Engineer’s license

Preferred Qualifications

• Ten (10) years or more of relevant work experience with stormwater management, design and permitting using AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Demonstrable experience of overseeing or reviewing the engineering design
• Experience with the Philadelphia Water Department green infrastructure design program
• Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software (SWMM; HEC HMS/RAS; HydroCAD, StormCAD)
