Job Description

NATS seeks a Geotechnical Engineer, Geological Engineer, or Engineering Geologist with 10+ years of experience in landslide and rockfall evaluations. Location is south of Portland, Oregon with a Hybrid work model (remote & on-site). Experience with evaluation and design of landslide and rockfall mitigation projects, including the use of numerical modeling as appropriate. The main mission of the firm is engineering consulting that specializes in a variety of geotechnical, pavement, geological and environmental services in Oregon and Washington.

 

 

As a Geotechnical Engineer, Geological Engineer, or Engineering Geologist you will:

Perform engineering for major civil works, including landslides/slope stability rockfall mitigation, rock mechanics, blasting, retaining structures, earth embankments, levees/dams, and tunnels. Senior technical review and project management for engineering deliverables, schedules, and invoices.

Manage and mentor junior engineering staff.

Report writing and review.

Oversight of and direction for laboratory testing of soil and rock.

Develope scopes of work and budget estimates.

Help manage geotechnical construction observation.

Business development and marketing efforts focused on Transportation, Water & Environment, Aviation, Ports & Waterfront, Energy, Development, and Federal market sectors.

Position Requirements:

Master’s Degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Geological Engineering, or Engineering Geology.

10+ years of full-time landslide and rockfall evaluation and design consulting experience.

Professional Engineering and/or Certified Engineering Geologist license in Oregon, Washington, or California (or ability to obtain licensure).
