Title: Industrial Fabrication Manager

The Fabrication Shop Manager is responsible for the safe and efficient operation and quality management of company’s fabrication & coating facility.
The facility fabricates very large members for projects that include structural steel for buildings and bridges, and includes nearly 40,000 square feet of fabrication and coating space. The facility has approximately 30 team members as well as top-of-the-line equipment. Excellent work location away from busy city traffic.
Manage all fabrication and coating activities to ensure all safety, people, production, quality, and company objectives are met.
Lead the safety effort by actively participating in safety meetings, emphasizing planning, communication and demand/take corrective action when necessary.
Quality control of welding and fabrication activities and product. Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure that all work produced in the fabrication shop meets the quality requirements of company and the client.
Provide and maintain accurate fabrication timelines. Develop production goals and track results for fabrication jobs in progress. Monitor, plan and schedule jobs to ensure on-time shipments and maximize efficiency. Take ownership of delegated projects and manage to completion.
Ensure all onsite personnel comply with project procedures, safety program requirements, and work rules.

Qualifications / Requirements:
Must have a minimum of ten years of fabrication supervisory experience.
Excellent communication, organizational and supervisory skills essential.
Strong Computer Skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.
