The Encore Boston Harbor Assistant Chief Engineer reports directly to the Director of Engineering. The primary responsibilities are to assist the Director of Engineering by providing a high level of oversight for all of our MEP systems including inspecting, evaluating, and monitoring all of equipment, designing and or upgrading our equipment, managing our preventative maintenance programs, overseeing our compliance requirements. It also includes the oversight of all energy used or produced. The Asst. Chief Engineer oversees the Mechanical, Electrical, Environmental needs of our five-star casino, resort, convention, and spa. ITW Residential & Renovation division is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support the Pocahontas, AR facility (relocation available) to provide technical leadership, direction and engineering support for the safe manufacturing of high-volume nails, which meet or exceed quality requirements and business goals and objectives. Manages directly or indirectly 5 to 12 hourly maintenance workers, who install, maintain, and repair production and ancillary machines, equipment and systems within the plant. The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for providing Engineering and development support of Wiper blades product market to fuel the growth and innovation of ITW Global Brand’s automotive aftermarket business. This role provides dynamic technical support, leadership and innovation from product inception through post-launch. Mechanical Engineer is responsible to lead the engineering, creates and evaluates technological developments, investigates feasibility of new engineering techniques, components, processes, and materials.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Conceive, plan, develop, and coordinate project components as an individual contributor or as a member of a cross-functional team.
Support and/or complete medium to higher level complexity engineering tasks/projects as assigned to meet business objectives.
Create and develop engineering project documentation, i.e. bill of materials, drawings and specifications
Develop prototypes and test plans; validate as required.
Participate in or conduct design reviews and provide feedback, using the appropriate tools i.e.
FMEA, field and lab testing
Research and provide the required product information to support sales, service, and marketing to satisfy customer needs.
Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve engineering project issues related to design.
Execute projects on time and within cost targets.
Support and implement product release plans to transition new designs to manufacturing and service teams.
Support existing product lines in VA/VE, product improvements, and sourcing activities.
Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute to IP development.
Conduct IP study for the existing product and technology
Design verification and validation testing of new designs/new products. Assist in the iterative redesign of products as needed.
Create test reports and summary presentations.
Coordinate engineering activities with other departments including change plans, engineering changes, performance/agency testing and trial runs.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
BS in Mechanical Engineering with 7+ years’ experience required.
5+ years of engineering-related experience
3D part and assembly modeling, design of mechanisms
Proven track record of moving projects from concept to production
5+ years of SolidWorks experience
Mechanical Design, Analysis (FEA etc) and PDM Tools
Ability to use engineering risk assessment tools.
Proficiency in all computer-related software packages (Microsoft Office, etc.) and additional technologies as required to move engineering projects forward.
Ability to build relationships within the business arena, across the organization, and externally.
Excellent written and verbal communication, listening, negotiation, consultative skills and presentation skills are required with the ability to prioritize and follow up
Must be a creative thinker, adaptable, flexible, and have a sense of urgency along with high level organizational and task planning skills.
Experience in validation testing and technical writing required.
