Job Description

The Mechanical Engineer performs engineering assignments with clear and specified objectives and involves conventional types of plans and specifications. The Engineer will review and process data; experiment; create samples; and conduct analyses.         I.            PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES. A.     Engineer responsible for HVAC, ductwork, piping, plumbing and fire protection Follows protocol and suggests experimental modifications. B.     Performs design calculations and prepares equipment or material specifications C.     Conducts testing and analysis D.     Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods E.      May conduct feasibility studies on new and modified designs F.      Recommends corrective actions G.     Records data, reports observations and make preliminary interpretations H.     Produces mechanical drawings, bills of material and special work instructions for customized assemblies I.        Ability to perform designs using AutoCAD or 3D modeling software. J.       Assist transition of products from product development to production. K.    Implements system requirements L.       Coordinates subsystems and integration of total system M.   Identifies, analyzes, and resolves process / production equipment deficiencies N.    Maintains an accurate notebook and complies with all pertinent safety requirements O.    Prepare drafts or parts of a larger report to assist senior personnel in the group P.      Comply with all environmental, health & safety regulations and practice good housekeeping duties. Q.    Additional duties, as required
